The project’s general goal is to develop a pilot project to increase the capacity for producing and using thermal energy from geothermal energy in the City of Karlovac.

The project’s specific goal is to arrange the well workspace to house the drilling rig and the pit for production testing of the KAGT-1 well, bringing the city of Karlovac closer to increased energy production from geothermal energy and installing capacities for using
power from geothermal energy.

The project will also achieve bilateral cooperation with the donor country, Iceland, which will also strengthen the capacity for managing and promoting renewable energy sources and create the foundations for continued collaboration and future joint projects.
